If you do not see your insurance company listed here, you may still have insurance coverage for our services under the "out of network" provision in some policies. Please contact your insurance company to check on your eligibility for "outpatient mental health benefits".

We are usually able to accept health insurance flexible spending account cards. Personal checks and cash are welcome.

95% of our work is reimbursed through insurance benefits. Typically you pay a small copayment at each session (average is $25)
and the remainder of the costs are paid for by your insurance company. We bill the
insurance companies so you don't need to file claims.
Your actual copayment amount is determined by your insurance policy. The amount varies even
within the same insurance company. As a rough guide, look at your health insurance card and see
what copayment may be required under the category of "specialist". For more information, contact your insurance
company directly about "outpatient mental health benefits".
Copayments can also vary based on your diagnosis. Some insurance companies will require a lower copayment during the first 5-6 sessions and then raise the amount after that (encouraging you to get healthy faster!) Some companies will require a lower copayment for less serious conditions and a higher copayment for more serious diagnoses
Regardless of amount or diagnosis, we are required to collect your copayment. Failure to do so could be interpreted as an attempt to defraud the insurance company.
Authorizations are frequently needed before you begin outpatient treatment. It is your responsibility to obtain an authorization to use your insurance benefits from your health insurance company before you come in for your first session. In today's volatile health insurance climate, it is prudent to check with your insurance company first before you begin any psychotherapy.
If you have an Employee Assistance Program (EAP) through your employer, you may be eligible for short-term services (4-8 sessions) at no cost to you. Under an EAP, you have no copayment and the reimbursement to us is provided totally by the insurance company. An authorization from your insurance company is always required when using EAP benefits.
If you are without insurance, or wish to pay privately for any reason, we offer a substantial reduction in our published fees for private payment. Contact us directly for details.
